Catching Up

Hello, hope that everyone is enjoying their summer. Summer is in full force! I’m trying to remember when was the last time it has been this hot and dry for such an extended period of time.  I’m waiting to receive my water bill. Lately I have been watering my lawn everyday for an hour, so it may be a large bill. I did make one mistake of forgetting to turn off the water one evening. I didn’t realize it until the next morning when I went outside and the lawn had been watered for ten hours.  Oh well, that patch of grass is now green.

I’ve been keeping occupied with school.I’m taking an online course, medical terminology. I have never taken an online course and it can be stressful. I do prefer the classroom so that I can ask questions. However, I’m thankful for the opportunity to go to school and learn. I’m in the Eye Care Program at San Jacinto College. The eye draws my interest because it is very similar to a camera. This is what I need, something to keep me interested…Lol.

Well, enjoy the remainder of the summer. It will be over before you know it. Unfortunately I’m talking about the break, not the heat. Be safe and have fun!! Hope to see you soon. Whether photographing a portrait session or sports action. Thanks again for visiting my blog and supporting MannyG Photography.

Taking a break today

The past month or so has been very busy and I’ve been working many weekends. Today I didn’t schedule anything so that I can enjoy the day off. The weather was beautiful here in Houston and my girlfriend and I decided to go to Surfside Beach in Freeport. Very nice drive with the sun shining, though very windy. As we approached Freeport the weather really changed. The beautiful sun was gone, temperature had dropped and still very windy. Oh well, at least the drive was pretty. Things can change in a moment. What was once beautiful, can change to not so beautiful. However, it shouldn’t change your attitude. Enjoy every moment of life and don’t let the little things ruin your day. We may not have gotten to spend time on the beach, but the drive refreshed my mind and gave me a sense of relaxation.

Sorry, no pictures. I didn’t even take a camera with me, though I was tempted.
